Dear Families,
We had a wonderful last day of school before our winter
break. The children were excited and full of energy ALL DAY!! One thing I am
loving about 3rd grade is being able to tell the children to look at
the clock and figure it out when they ask, “Mrs. Leyva, how long is it until
our party?” Although, that didn't stop them
from asking over and over again! They are persistent little ones, aren't they? Seriously, it is a lot of fun to be able to
spend some fun leisure time with them every once in a while, as we do spend
the rest of our time in the quality learning time mode. Several parents joined
our party and even volunteered with the set-up, management, and cleaning
afterward. Thank you so much for your
participation!
I would like to thank all of you for the gracious gift of a
mini-pine tree (so cute!) and a generous gift card to the Alamo Draft House. My
husband and I really need to go out on a date and watch a good movie during
this break! Several others gave sweet
gifts in addition to the gift card. You are all so kind.
Please have safe and enjoyable vacations as we wrap up this
year and enter into 2015!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
Tammy Leyva
